This page describes how Stantinel collects consent before sending SMS messages to users and their designated emergency contacts.
Stantinel sends SMS messages for the following purposes only:
Stantinel does not send marketing, promotional, or advertising messages.
Message frequency varies based on your check-in schedule and whether check-ins are missed. Typical frequency is 0–5 messages per month. Messages are only sent when a safety event occurs.
Users provide explicit opt-in consent during the phone number verification flow within the Stantinel mobile app. Before verifying their phone number, users are shown the following disclosure:
"By verifying your phone number, you consent to receive safety alert and check-in reminder SMS messages from Stantinel. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. If you do not consent to receive SMS messages from Stantinel, do not add/verify your phone number."
By proceeding with phone verification, the user consents to receive SMS messages as described above.
